Researcher and Psychometrician

I am a Lecturer in the Research, Measurement and Evaluation Unit, Department of Educational Psychology, University of Calabar, Nigeria. My work focuses on psychometrics, structural equation modelling, programme evaluation, and applied statistics.

How I can help

If you are working on a thesis, dissertation, grant proposal, or journal paper, I can support the research process where our interests align.

  • Research design and instrument development
  • Psychometrics, scale validation, and reliability analysis
  • SEM, mediation and moderation modelling
  • Programme evaluation and evidence reporting
  • Results writing, interpretation, and formatting guidance

Current work

I am developing work streams that link academic capacity and research output, with emphasis on mixed methods, bibliometric mapping, and quantitative modelling.

  • PhD focus: Academic capacity factors and publication patterns
  • Method focus: Mixed methods, bibliometrics, modelling and validation
  • Theme focus: Research productivity and impact assessment

Speaking and training

I deliver short sessions and workshops for students, departments, and research groups. Sessions can be adjusted to your audience and timeline.

  • Survey design and instrument development
  • Measurement basics, validity, and reliability
  • SEM in practice: model building and reporting
  • Data analysis workflow for postgraduate research
  • Academic writing for methods and results

Collaboration

Collaboration works best with clear roles, timeline, and a defined research question.

  • Co authored papers and joint proposals
  • Multi institution studies and shared datasets
  • Method support for teams and postgraduate groups
